THE ROCKDALE OPERA COMPANY JOHN & JENNIFER BRUKNER COMMUNITY ARTS OUTREACH INITIATIVE

The inaugural Rockdale Opera Company Community Arts Outreach Initiative is being undertaken in 2017 by Rockdale Opera Company through the generosity of the John and Jennifer Brukner Foundation. The Foundation has purchased tickets in support of this initiative, to be given free of charge to schools and community organisations in 2017 and 2018. The program will be known as The Rockdale Opera Company John and Jennifer Brukner Community Arts Outreach Initiative.
The aim of the initiative is to provide an opportunity for young people and those within our community, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to attend a Rockdale Opera Company performance. It is hoped that in so doing we can encourage, foster and stimulate interest in opera/operetta, thereby ensuring that future generations and audiences will know and appreciate not only the beauty, cultural significance and immense joy of this art form but also ensure that the cultural and performing arts tradition established in Rockdale and our wider community continues to develop. It is our hope that others will be inspired by the generosity and foresight of the John and Jennifer Brukner Foundation and to make a contribution to this wonderful initiative.
