Patience, or Bunthorne's Bride

Patience is Gilbert & Sullivan's sparkling satire of fashion, vanity and celebrity, brought to life by Rockdale Opera Company in a vibrant new production. Set in an idyllic English village, the operetta follows the lovestruck maidens who abandon their military admirers in favour of the melancholic poet Reginald Bunthorne—until the arrival of the impossibly perfect Archibald Grosvenor turns everyone's affections upside down. Filled with witty dialogue, memorable characters and some of Gilbert & Sullivan's most beloved music, Patience remains as entertaining and relevant today as when it premiered in 1881.
