PRINCIPAL ROLES
Rockdale Opera normally holds auditions twice yearly for Principal roles in its productions. Audition notices are posted on our website auditions page and also on our Facebook page. Audition notifications are also emailed to subscribers of our e-news. You can subscribe on our contact page. All Rockdale productions are sung in English, therefore audition pieces are to be sung in English. Generally it is also preferred that audition pieces are taken from the work that is to be performed by the Company (unless otherwise stipulated).
CHORUS
Are you a rapturous maiden… or an Officer of the Dragoon Guards? Rockdale Opera Company is calling singers to join the chorus of Patience — one of Gilbert & Sullivan’s wittiest and most sparkling operettas — which we are putting on in June. No audition required, but this is a high-standard chorus for singers who love great music, sharp comedy, and ensemble work. Expect clever words, glorious harmonies, and a lot of fun. Rehearsals are typically Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Arncliffe. Please contact the Chorus Co-ordinator here.
REHEARSALS
Our principals and chorus rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm at Coronation Hall, Barden Street, Arncliffe.

Not ready to join a chorus or audition, but love to sing? Join us for Sing With Rockdale Opera—a joyful, relaxed afternoon of group singing on Saturday, 26 September. No auditions, no pressure, no experience needed—just great music, friendly faces, and the thrill of singing together.
