The Rockdale Opera Company Community Arts Outreach Initiative is a program operating from 2017 through the generosity of the John and Jennifer Brukner Foundation. The program provides heavily subsidised tickets to schools and community organisations.
The aim of the initiative is to provide an opportunity for young people and those within our community, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to attend a Rockdale Opera Company performance. It is hoped that in so doing we can encourage, foster and stimulate interest in opera and operetta, ensuring that future generations and audiences will know and appreciate not only the beauty, cultural significance and immense joy of this art form but also ensure that the cultural and performing arts tradition established in Rockdale and our wider community continues to develop. It is our hope that others will be inspired by the generosity and foresight of the John and Jennifer Brukner Foundation and to make a contribution to this wonderful initiative.
